We had a lovely day on our tour to Nikko. Our guide was fantastic and very flexible. We wanted to see as many sites as possible and stop for photos, and the driver adjusted the tour accordingly. We got some great photos from the Akechidaira Ropeway and the waterfalls. It was really interesting to hear the stories about the famous red Shinkyo Bridge we had heard so much about. Seeing it firsthand was a highlight of the day. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo, as it shows a completely different side of Japan.
We had heard so much about the beauty of the Nikko region, so this day trip was on our bucket list when we visited Japan. We traveled to Nikko on a private tour with our two children and really enjoyed the day. We asked the driver to slow down, and that worked well for us. There were regular stops, so the kids never felt rushed or tired. Kegon Falls and the forest areas were highlights, and the ropeway ride was something the kids talked about afterwards. Overall, it was a good balance of sightseeing and time to slow down, and we returned to Tokyo full of memories.
