Perfect! Especially if you have children

The best day of our trip, especially for our kids. My daughter LOVED the Beauty & the Beast ride - we went on it three times hahhaha. My son is a little older so he was at the arcade with his dad a lot, but everyone had a blast. It feels a little overwhelming when you first get there because there’s 7 lands, but honestly they’re all a lot of fun. We got there in the morning and there was already a huge line, so I was super glad we had these skip-the-line tickets. Saves us waiting in the hot sun!

The best Disneyland I’ve been to

I’ll just say, Americans could learn a lot from how the Japanese run things. The park was sparkling clean! Trash cans were at every corner and I never saw anything on the ground. The food was also very fresh, healthy and filling. None of that ultra-processed junk you find in most amusement parks in the States. The rides themselves were lots of fun, but the amazing care they take of the park is something else. We had the 1-day passport and spent the entire day, from 10am to 8pm. We were never bored, and there was always something to see and something to eat.

Tokyo Disneyland Tickets

DISCOVER SEVEN MAGICAL THEMED LANDS

The Tokyo Disney Resort is huge - all in all, there are 7 theme lands! Make sure you explore them all. You’ll find two American-themed sections. The first is the World Bazaar, which looks like a 20th-century American city center. The second is Westernland, based on the Wild West. Fantasyland is a must-see, featuring attractions based on classic Disney films. Toontown is similar, since it hosts classic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. You can also visit Critter Country for themed adventures with Disney characters! Adventureland is fun as well - it’s where you explore cultures from all over the world. Finally, visit Tomorrowland for futuristic and scientific attractions.

ENJOY EXHILARATING RIDES AND FUN ATTRACTIONS

There’s no end to the thrilling adventures at the Tokyo Disney Resort. You’ll find several exciting rides, like Peter Pan’s Flight, where you’ll fly on a pirate ship. You can also search for honey with Winnie the Pooh, or ride around on whizzing cars with Baymax. The true jewel of the park, however, is the Enchanting Tale of the Beauty and the Beast. You’ll relive the story in a magical ballroom setting! Besides rides, there are other fun activities. For example, paddling a canoe through the Rivers of America. You’ll also find an eclectic arcade where you can challenge your friends to game battles!

SHOP AND EAT LIKE YOU’RE IN A DISNEY FILM

If you need a break from all that adrenaline, there are plenty of stores to relax and stroll through. The Grand Emporium has the largest selection of Disney merchandise. There you’ll find apparel, stationery, sweets, hairbands, and more! However, if you want toys, Toy Station is your best bet - they have a huge collection! Another fun stop is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where your kids get a princess makeover. And if you get hungry after all that shopping, make sure to try Tomorrowland Terrace. It’s a futuristic restaurant serving delicious burgers, fries, and desserts. Captain Hook’s Gallery is also fun - they serve all types of tasty pizzas.

PRO TIP

Secure your park tickets online before your trip. Tokyo Disneyland tickets are not available for purchase at the ticket booths outside the entrance gate. Because daily tickets are limited and sell out quickly, you must book in advance to guarantee entry.

Tokyo Disneyland Interesting Facts

  • Tokyo Disneyland was the first Disney-themed park open outside of the United States.
  • When Tokyo Disneyland opened, it was approximately 115 acres large - the largest Disneyland park at the time.
  • However, the Tokyo Disneyland parking lot was only 61 acres. This was the smallest Disneyland parking lot ever built. This is because Japan’s public transportation was so popular and often used.
  • Pooh’s Hunny Hunt is a ride exclusive to Tokyo Disneyland. You can’t find it in any other Disneyland! Guests board hunny pots and follow Winnie the Pooh as he hunts down his favorite snack.

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

  • Children ages 3 and under can enter Tokyo Disneyland for free.
  • You must show your electronic ticket on a smartphone to enter the park.
  • Tokyo Disneyland Tickets are valid for the entire day. This means you can stay for as long as you like – from opening to closing!
  • If visiting in the summer, we suggest wearing sunglasses, a sun hat, and sunscreen, as much of the park.
  • Please note that all visitors must bring some form of photo ID. This can be a driver’s license, a passport, or an ID card.
  • It’s a good idea to wear comfortable shoes, as you will likely be doing a fair amount of walking.

Meeting Point

Head to the Tokyo Disneyland entrance. All you need to do is scan the ticket’s QR code and you’re in! Please note that only electronic tickets on smartphones will be accepted.

PRO TIP

Bring a small, foldable plastic mat (known as a "leisure sheet") in your bag. In Japan, park etiquette requires everyone to sit flat on the ground during parades so the people behind can see. Spreading out a mat helps you find your viewing spot early and stay comfortable on the hard concrete. If you forget to pack one, you can buy Disney-themed mats at the park gift shops.
