I’ll never forget this

I’ve loved JDM cars for years, but this tour exceeded everything I imagined! The driver was very friendly. He made the ride feel safe, even while speeding through the streets. When we arrived at Daikoku PA, I couldn’t believe the variety of cars. There were Skylines, Silvias, Evos, you name it. The views from the Rainbow Bridge were amazing. If you’re into car culture, this is an experience you cannot miss!

Like being in a movie

I booked this with zero expectations, just because I like the Fast & Furious movies. But it turned out to be one of the best parts of my trip. Riding in a Nissan Skyline R34 (the car that Paul Walker drove in 2 Fast 2 Furious) was AMAZING!!! Our driver knew the roads well, making everything smooth and easy. Daikoku was packed with modified cars, and the sound of engines revving was exciting. Anyone who loves street racing movies will absolutely love this.

DESCRIPTION

Tokyo Drift Experience

START YOUR TOKYO DRIFT EXPERIENCE

Your adventure begins at the meeting point, where your guide will welcome you. The guide will introduce you to the fleet and prepare you for the route. Before you leave, your guide will go over safety info, the itinerary, and how the convoy drive works. Next, you’ll be assigned one of the high-performance sports cars based on availability. The car lineup changes daily. Then comes the moment everyone waits for. You sit in the passenger seat of a machine like a Skyline GT-R R34, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X (Evo X), a Civic Type-R, or even a 700 HP Nismo GTR. Then, your guide will take off toward Tokyo's highways.

SPEED THROUGH ICONIC HIGHWAYS

After this, the convoy will move toward Tokyo’s iconic Wangan route. You will feel the acceleration as the car enters the first tunnel. Be sure to also listen to the sound as it reflects off the tunnel walls. The C1 Loop shows the city from the expressway. You see billboards, towers, and buildings while the car moves smoothly. The guide will keep the pace safe while giving you a sense of real speed and movement. Along the way, you will stop at A-PIT Autobacs for 30 minutes. Here, you can explore car parts, accessories, and collectibles. You can also see the convoy of sports cars up close.

SEE TOKYO SIGHTS

The next stop is the Daikoku Parking Area, Tokyo’s main gathering place for car enthusiasts. You’ll spend an hour walking around. You’ll see rare builds, modified cars, and tuned machines. After Daikoku, the drive will continue over Rainbow Bridge with views of Tokyo Bay and Odaiba. You will then stop at Tokyo Tower to take photos of the 1,092-foot (333-meter) landmark. It is one of the city’s most recognizable structures. Did you know Tokyo Tower is repainted every five years by hand using nearly 30,000 liters of paint? After completing the circuit, you’ll enjoy a smooth drive back toward the city. You can pick one of three drop-off spots or go straight to your accommodation within Tokyo’s 23 wards.

PRO TIP

Daikoku Parking Area is famous worldwide for its large, spontaneous car show, where you can see rare Japanese sports cars and exotic supercars. Located on an artificial island along Yokohama's Shuto Expressway, the rest stop has no pedestrian access and no nearby train stations, making it difficult for tourists to reach it independently. Taking a specialized car tour like this one is the safest and most reliable way to guarantee your round trip.

Daikoku Parking Area: An icon of JDM culture

Daikoku Parking Area is one of Tokyo’s most famous spots for car enthusiasts. It sits on an artificial island in Yokohama Bay. It has long been a hub for Japanese sports cars. You can find classic Skylines and Silvias, along with tuned Subarus and Mitsubishis. Visitors can walk the multi-level parking space to see engine modifications up close. They can also see unique builds and share tips with fellow car enthusiasts.

The spot gained popularity when the streets near it appeared in Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift. Today, locals and travelers gather here to admire cars and celebrate Japan’s car culture. Its mix of iconic vehicles, lights, and open space makes it a must-see for car fans.

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

  • Bring your passport or a valid ID.
  • Wear clothing suitable for sitting in a car for several hours.

  • Activate WhatsApp notifications on your phone. The guide may send important updates if there are any changes or delays.
  • Don’t worry about transport at the end of the tour. You will be dropped off at your hotel, Airbnb, or any location within Tokyo’s 23 wards.
  • You will ride in real JDM sports cars, but car selection depends on availability on the day of your tour.
  • The tour is not private unless you book the private option in advance.

Meeting Point

Meeting points may vary depending on the option booked.

FUN FACT

The Wangan is a massive, wide highway that runs right along the water of Tokyo Bay. This 62.1 km stretch of the Shuto Expressway became famous in the 1990s because a real underground racing group used it as their personal nighttime race track. They were called the Mid Night Club, operating as a secretive street racing syndicate mainly between 1987 and 1999. Since the road is so long and straight, they could push their custom cars to speeds over 300 km/h (186 mph).
